The Lion of God - Abigail Part 6
Who did you think you see?”, a loud voice said.
Ariel opened his eyes. The entire room snapped to attention.
It was the Word. The one who walked in the garden. The Alpha and Omega.
It was Jesus.
He had risen up from his golden throne and was walking toward Ariel. As he approached Ariel fell to his knees.
Jesus came and stood beside Ariel then slowly turned in a circle in the midst of the assembly.
He gazed outward. Surveying the angelic host.
“WHO DO YOU THINK YOU SEE!!!???”, HE shouted loudly to the rafters.
The question lingering in the air and then a silence.
Then Jesus continued,
“Do you see a failure? A weakling? A diminutive? “
“NO!!! I tell you this, Among angels this one stands taller than many here today. “
“Did not the prophet Samual pass by every son of Jesse until he came to a little shepherd boy named David. “
“YES, that little Shepard boy was the Lord’s anointed.”
“A KING!!!”, Jesus shouted.
The room was silence. Not a sound. Not a twitch.
“WHO DO YOU SEE?”, Jesus shouted again.
“A small boy? …… Or the Lords anointed?”
“Did not the mighty Judge of Israel, Samson, fail?” Beaten, blinded and imprisoned. His eyes gouged out by Phinstine dogs.”
“Was Samson a failure?”
“I tell you NO! Samson is listed among the great men of faith.”
“Samson in his strength was made weak.”
Jesus continued speaking still slowly turning in a circle addressing the entire angelic host.
“Let those with ears listen to my words.”
“Samson in his strength was made weak.”
“Many here today are strong yet in your strength you are made weak.“.
“You relish in your strength, in your prowess, in your beauty, in what you have done, in your success.”
“Like Samson you relish in your strength, in what God has given you and like Samson in your strength YOU are made weak.”
“But Samson in his weakness was made strong.”
When Samson lay in defeat, helpless, blind, ridiculed, maligned, broken, alone in prison, he realized his brokenness and cried out to God.
THEN and only then was he ready to be made strong. “
“Did he not offer his body as a living sacrifice.” In his weakness ….. in his one final request he was made strong.”
From the depths of his prison cell he called out to the Lord,
“O Lord GOD, please remember me. Strengthen me, O God, just once more, so that with one vengeful blow I may pay back the Philistines for my two eyes”
Was Samson a blind weakling or was he God’s anointed?”
“WHAT DO YOU SEE HERE TODAY?”, Jesus asked again LOUDLY.
“A weakling? NO!”
“I tell you standing here today is a Samson!!!.”
For the second time Abigail heard a gasp in the crowd of angels.
Jesus turned to Ariel,speaking directly to him as he proclaimed,
“In your weakness I am made strong”, he said to Ariel.
Then Jesus turned to the archangel Uriel.
“Uriel go to my father’s storehouse and bring to me the sword and shield of Samson the Judge of Israel.“
Immediately a flash of lightening burst across the heavenly sky and just as quickly resounded echoing back as Uriel stood before Jesus.
Uriel kneeled and presented the sword and shield of Samson the Judge of Israel to Jesus.
“WHAT DO YOU SEE? “, Jesus asked again.
“Like the mighty Samson, In his weakness this one will be made strong. He has never wavered. He has never relented. He has never retreated. “
“He has fought hordes of the Enemy. He has been overpowered, beaten, poisoned, maimed, for my names sake.”
“He has even offered himself a living sacrifice. Desiring that he should be thrown into the Abyss, to be cast aside FOR THIS WOMAN.
“Abigail, snapped to attention as Jesus uttered those words “FOR THIS WOMAN, and as Jesus uttered those words he turned and pointed directly at Abigail standing at the back of the room.
For the first time his gaze was on her. His eyes kind yet piercing. His eyes kind, reflecting his love for her. Like a mother looks at her child. Piercing because Jesus SAW her. Her heart, her soul, her brokeness.
For the first time in her life she KNEW, without any doubt, she KNEW that HE loved her anyway.
The entire angelic host slowly turned to look at her.
Jesus continued speaking while holding his gaze upon Abigail. This time his words softer and spoken directly to her
“He NEVER retreated. He NEVER left his post. He has faithfully defended her with his life.
And here today he has offered his own life for her sake.”
Jesus turned back toward Ariel.
The angelic host watched as Jesus approached Ariel who was still kneeled before him.
Jesus took the shield of Samson and placed it over Ariel’s head, down over his shoulders.
Speaking to Ariel, Jesus said, “Samson prayed to God for vengeance against those responsible for the taking of his sight.
“Vengence is mine”, Jesus said. “I shall repay”.
Jesus continued speaking to Ariel, loud enough for all to hear.
“With Samson’s own sword the Lord will fulfill his request. There is more work to be done my son. You are the Lord’s anointed.”
“In your weakness you will be made strong, for my sake.”
“Take this woman back. It is not her time. Take this sword and remember in whatsoever you do, in your weakness you have been made strong. The Lord is with you.”
Then he presented the sword of Samson the mighty Judge of Israel to Ariel , placing it in his hands
Then Jesus turned to Abigail and said to her,
“My grace is sufficient for you.”
He held is gaze upon her for a moment, then spoke.
“Ariel, arise and take this woman home”.
Then Jesus looked at Abigail and issued a one word command,
“GO”
Suddenly Abigail felt herself fall. Like a trap door had been opened. Free falling down a dark corridor. She plummet down falling like a comet toward earth.
