God in Falconry

This bird who I named Mary is mine. I have a special permit, a special license given my the State of Georgia, Department of Natural Resources which allows me to take a raptor from the from the wild.

She belongs to me. I feed her every day. I house her. I make sure she is fed. I even have a camera in her housing to keep a close eye on her.

When we go hunting I put a tracking device on her, in case we get separated. On more than one occasion she has wondered away from me but I always track her down and bring her back home.

I trained her and together we create a partnership. A bond built on Trust.

I love this bird. When you take care of something every day you get attached. She knows the sound of my voice. I call to her, she hears my voice and responds.

God is like that. He called Abraham. He called Jacob. He called Issac.

He calls YOU…… by name.

God loves you and there is nothing you can do that will ever change that.

Isaiah 43:1

But now, Thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And he who formed you, O Israel : “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; YOU are MINE!”
