Good Job, Jonah.
Jonah has been released back into the wild. I took him to a place I have hunted near Dublin and said goodbye.
It’s always a bittersweet moment. It feels good to release a bird knowing that they have the skills to survive. Knowing they are fat and healthy. Knowing that they are back in their natural state. Wild and free.
You would think that would be the end of it. But it’s not.
You worry about them. I’ve driven past this place a couple of times now and every time I scan the tree tops, thinking to myself, “I wonder how ol’ Jonah is doing?”.
It’s all a part of the process.
I had a blast, Jonah. We made a good team. Godspeed my boy. ❤️
